A partnership of Novare Group, PointOne Holdings Development and Batson-Cook Development Co. has broken ground on a luxury apartment project in Newnan, Ga. This is the first phase of Village Square at Newnan Crossing, a 123-acre mixed-use development that includes public greenspace, walking trails, offices, shopping, restaurants, apartments and townhomes. Humpreys Partners & Associates designed the community, while Kimley-Horn & Associates served as civil engineer and landscape architect.
Located at the intersection of Newnan Crossing Boulevard East and Lower Fayetteville Road, the property will feature a combination of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Interior amenities will include stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, designer-style cabinetry and hardwood-style plank flooring. Spread across a 24-acre site, the 298-unit multifamily project will feature a mix of three-story apartment buildings, 94 big house units and 12 for-rent townhomes.
The LINC—a city-approved 25.5-mile multi-use pedestrian pathway connecting the entertainment and commerce hubs—will run directly through the project and will be adjacent to the apartment community.
“We have put together an experienced team to deliver a community that will lead the market and be unlike anything in the area,” said Jim Borders, president & CEO of Novare Group, in a prepared statement.
Common area amenities will include:
- leasing center
- business center
- clubroom
- fitness center
- pool
- outdoor grilling
- bocce ball court
- community garden
- bike storage
- dog park
“This project provides us the opportunity to grow our multifamily portfolio and it aligns with PointOne’s strategy to focus on owning and operating newer, high-quality properties in strong suburban submarkets with limited new-starts, good schools and strong centers of employment,” said Leo Peicher, managing member of PointOne Holdings Development, in prepare remarks.
The Forum at Ashley Park and the Newnan Pavilion are both located nearby, and Interstate 85 is easily accessible from the site.
